It took me over an hour and a half to get to work today... Even Chris beat me to work, and he left almost 45 minutes after me!  He should be happy I warned him of all the problems

Exercise

Gonna try mountain biking in an effort to fix my "out of shape" problem I recently discovered. I stole Chris' bike and bought some new tires/tubes and it seems to work like like a charm.

Next goal: Learn how to ride a bike with gears... hmmm...

The Descent

 

Quite a good movie... It is always nice when a horror movie isn't full of the stupid jumpy scary scenes... this had none of them (at least for me).

 

Cool ending too, I thought for a second it was gonna be really cheesy, but it was perfect

Geocaching?

So Adam and I decided to try out Geocaching today, and well... it didn't really go all that well.  We went to 4-5 locations of where the caches should be and managed to find a total of zero of them.  Although we found none of them, it was an interesting experience though, and probably the most exercise I have had in a while.  For two caches we hiked what seemed to be 2 miles (in an attempt to go 0.8 miles into a forest), and besides the fact we didn't find any geocaches, it was an adventure to say the least...

I learned one thing in the whole experience... I am really out of shape

Nice Xbox 360...

I thought this was funny... 3 red lights on a target display Xbox 360 :) For those who don't know what that means....only way to make the Xbox 360 work again is by sending it in for repairs!

After watching the latest episode of John from Cincinatti on HBO I must say I am shocked this is by the same person who made Deadwood (which sucks ).  It is actually a really good show, and I highly recommend watching it if you haven't been!

New camera on the way!

Not to compete with Adam's new camera I went ahead and found an amazing deal on a Samsung Digimax L85 and just couldn't pass it up. Reviews are somewhat missed and it is far from top of the line, but $139.99 + $5 shipping on woot.com was a really amazing deal.  It has 8.1 MP and a 5x Optical zoom which should be a LOT better then my 2 MP camera, and my 2 MP phone camera!!!

 

If we are still here for the next fireworks maybe I will actually get a good picture this time.

How exciting!  Tweak is all healed up after his surgery and just a few hours ago we finally let him out of the bathroom!  Bathroom rugs have finally returned to the bathroom, and I can now return to taking my scolding hot showers!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harry Potter....

Saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix today and it was pretty good. I like the fact that it is moving farther away from being a kiddy movie to something darker and more serious. I also like that it follows the characters as they are aging which allows for the audience to really know who the characters are and how they might react to certain situations. My favorite anime series, Naruto, is the same way!

Rider Bomb Threat?

As if enough incidents don't happen in our apartment complex, there is now an incident next door in Rider College. Apparently in Mid-June some person wrote a bomb threat on a wall and now everyone is starting to freak out because it is only 9 days away. Personally I feel it is sad that we as a species have to worry about stuff like this, but that is besides the point. It is also sad that they are already belittling the Virginia Tech tragedy and comparing it to this which is most likely just some kid not wanting to go to school that day. What's next? Are they going to find a copy of Grand Theft Auto or Doom in their dorm room? If only Jack Thompson's law license wasn't temporarily revoked, he would have a heyday on that one.

Fireworks

There were fireworks last night at Rider college which is right outside my window, and I was trying to take pictures of them... well... I managed to take the worst fireworks picture ever!

We saw Transformers today... was good! Figured it would just be a cheesy boring movie   but it was actually a very entertaining 2.5 hours!

Alishaan Regional Cuisine of India

Went to Alishaan today and had my first bit of Indian food. I got some Chicken Curry that pretty was average, and slightly disappointing due to the fact it wasn't spicy at all, even when I ordered it Hot, instead of Mild. We also got some naan which is a type of bread, and that was pretty good. Overall it was a good experience, but food could have been better.... maybe I just got the wrong thing?

Ani-Monday on SciFi

I have been watching Ani-Monday on the Sci-Fi channel since it started a few weeks ago... it is alright.

I really wish it was in the original language, the voices are stupid as always.

My new mouse

My new mouse.... it is a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 which I got from Target for $19.99.   I have been extremely happy with it and love the zoom feature the side button does.  So rare that I am happy with such a cheapo piece of hardware.
